The Local Farm Box

Locally-Grown Food Delivered To You

Customize Your Box

How it Works

Build a box with the best produce, dairy, eggs, breads, spices and more brought to your front door or a near-by location. While our farm grows the majority of the produce and eggs, we offer an enormous variety of other products sourced from local, natural, small producers - many of whom are our friends. If there’s something you don’t like, no problem! You can swap out for other items or add extras, and you can choose how often you’d like these local goodies: weekly, every other week, or monthly.

I just gotta say, the new box options made today's swap process pretty exciting! Loving all of the options. Thank you for all of your efforts to make this happen!

I love this farm and my subscription. I love the choices, how well they run the business, and everything about them.
Patti Brooks Fisher
Holy smokes! You guys just jumped into hyperspace with the new boxes. Hooray! Thank you!
Elizabeth
I am obsessed with each week's selection and addicted to the freshness of all their produce. Each week's box inspires me to experiment in my kitchen.
Malgorzata Kmieciak
The variety of the produce is outstanding. The ease of pickup is what convinced me to join initially, but it's the produce that had made me a loyal customer.
Alice
This is one dedicated organic farmer that knows how to do it right. You cannot go wrong buying from Rise ‘N Shine Organic Farm.
Morgan James
It's great to know there will be some fresh veggies in our menu regardless of how bad the produce might be in the grocery store. We love that the vegetables actually taste like something!
Wanda Dunaway
Even as the value remains competitive, I would so much rather be supporting a local farmer and his family with my vegetable purchases. AND I get the benefits of locally grown, organic produce.

FAQ

Are you certified organic and what does that mean?

Yes our produce is. This means that we meet the strict requirements set by the USDA to be certified organic. We are inspected annually by a 3rd party to ensure that our practices meet the requirements. Essentially, organic farms are required to use methods that build up the soil and protect natural resources. We are not allowed to use Genetically Modified seeds or products nor any harmful synthetic chemicals found in many herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers. Our eggs, however, are not certified organic because they are fed a Non GMO feed as opposed to a certified organic feed. The hens are pastured and free range and we do not use any synthetic herbicides or pesticides anywhere on the farm.

Can we change our share size or frequency?

Yes. From your profile page you can cancel what subscriptions you want to cancel and then sign  up for the ones you want and at the frequency you want.

Can we drop out anytime?

Yes you can. From your profile page you can click on the subscriptions page on the left side and cancel there.

What happens if we miss a pick up?

If you tell us ahead of time that you will not be able to pick up your share, then we can put a ‘vacation hold’ on your share for that week or weeks..

If you miss a pick up and did not tell us ahead of time that you would miss it and we deliver it then you are charged for that box.

Can we skip or reschedule future delivery dates?

Yes.  You can put deliveries on hold and if you have a biweekly delivery schedule and want a box on an off week you can purchase a one time box for that week.  Then you’ll continue your subscription after the hold you placed is finished.

Can we try it out first to see if we like it?

Yes. The easiest way to try it out to buy a ‘one time’ box. Sign up for it on the sign up page .

Can we come out to the farm for a visit?

Yes, but please call or email ahead of time to arrange a visit. We are not set up well for drop in visits as we could be anywhere on the property at any given time. We do host some open house farm visits and tours once or twice a year. Follow us on social media for notifications of those.
